Call for Applications:7th Transitional Justice Study Trip Rwanda

The University of Rwanda – College of Arts and Social Sciences (UR-CASS) organizes (annually) a Transitional Justice Study Trip to Rwanda. The 7th edition is scheduled to begin on <b>Sunday 19th until Saturday 25th March 2017.</b>

The study trip is aimed at educating participants about Transitional Justice mechanisms adopted after the 1994 genocide. It is designed to clarify the complexities involved in re-building a society after a genocide, and will be comprised of two components: a literature study and a study tour. It will involve all stakeholders in Rwanda, visiting genocide memorial sites, solidarity camps, social- economic development initiatives and different crucial institutions involved in reconciliation efforts.

Applicants should send a letter of motivation explaining their interest in the course together with their curriculum vitae to Mr. Samuel Sibomana; s.sibomana@ur.ac.rw copying to Dr. Alphonse Muleefu; a.muleefu@ur.ac.rw not later than 23rdDecember 2016, other important dates (deadlines) shall be subsequently provided to successful applicants.
